For those individuals 65 years and older living alone, being extra careful in and around their own home is very important. Joy Wilson, President of Right at Home in Knoxville, shares some tips on how to improve senior home safety. -          Keep a flashlight near the bed of a senior citizen in case the power goes out. -          Make sure there is a lamp by their bed. -          Make sure that handrails are sturdy and securely fastened. -          Change the batters in smoke alarms and detectors as needed.
