Scam Alert on Senior CitizensAttleboro Council and police warned senior citizens in the area to be alert of a possible scam target. According to Detective Sgt. Arthur Brillion, the automated message identifies the program offered by “Senior Medical Advisory” and asks residents to press a series of numbers to use the program. The message includes a sales pitch for an home alert system for fires, burglaries and medical emergencies. Attleboro residents can also dial 911 and reminded them not to provide personal information like banking information and Social Security number over the telephone unless they verified the recipient is trusted.
