Program to Help Prevent Falls for Elderly People

The Board of Health in Hudson is offering free home safety assessments for senior citizens. This program aims to protect elderly people against trips and falls. Funded by a grant from the MetroWest Health Foundation, elderly people can set up a time for community health worker to come to their home and look for potential hazards. According to Lanie Silva, seniors don’t really know that they are at risk of falling in their own homes.
