This is when an Arc Fault Circuit Interrupt device (AFCI) and a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupt device (GFCI) may come in handy for your home. These devices are capable of monitoring the electricity flow in your house and can sense a short circuit enabling them to then cut the power to the said circuit.
