The elderly population continues to grow and more scammers are finding ways to target senior citizens, like what happened to the 81-year-old Burien resident Faye Schwartz who has been hit by credit card scammers multiple times in the past decade. The AARP Washington and law-enforcement agencies are teaming up to fight back scammers who target seniors. They launched the “Fraud Watch Network,” which notifies seniors about fraud methods and receive timely alerts and notifications about new scams.
