Seniors are prone to falling, which in most cases can cause serious harm to an elderly person, and can even be fatal at times. Example of that is bone disease. Studies indicate that more than a third of elderly above the age of 65 have suffered a fall, with half of those aged above 80 falling at least once a year. South Fulton offers free public education session Tuesday on bone health and ways to prevent or slow down bone disease. This session which being offered by Fulton County and the East Point Naturally Occurring Retirement Community will focus on prevention of broken bones, lifestyle changes and ways to prevent fractures for people who have already had one.
